Description: The curious, adventure-seeking, fourth grade group of 10 year old boys, Stan, Kyle, Cartman, and Kenny, all join in in buffoonish adventures that sometimes evolve nothing. Sometimes something that was simple at the start, turns out to get out of control. Everything is odd in the small mountain town, South Park, and the boys always find something to do with it.

Cartman’s mom is named Liane after Trey Parker’s former fiancée. He caught her with another man, and so he named the promiscuous character after her.

To date, South Park still holds the Guiness World Record for “Most Swearing in animated series.”

During the theme song in the first season and the second season, Kenny says: “I like girls with big, fat titties, I like girls with deep vaginas.”

Matt Stone records Kenny’s dialogue by talking into his sleeve or hand.

Kenny was going to be killed off permanently in season 5, but Parker and Stone decided not to kill him off since they realized that he was a huge part of the show.

Stan’s family (parents Randy and Sharon, sister Shelley) are named after Trey Parker’s family. Kyle’s parents, Gerald and Sheila, are named after Matt Stone’s parents.

The characters of Terrance and Phillip were created because Trey Parker and Matt Stone kept getting complaints about the show being “nothing but bad animation and fart jokes”.

Most of Cartman’s lines are ad-libbed by Trey Parker, who has stated that Cartman is his favorite character on the show.
